Councillor Habib Rehman Joins The "Walk For Justice" March

HUNDREDS of ordinary residents, some disabled and senior citizens and from all walks of life and from all over the North took part in a “Walk for Justice” for the families of victims.

They were involved in two separate marches staged in Sunderland and Middlesbrough — part of a series nationwide — with many of those involved being the family of victims of violent crime. The Middlesbrough walk was organised by Cllr. Barbara Dunne, whose son Robert was stabbed to death with a samurai sword.

It was headed by Mayor Ray Mallon and alongside them was Ann Ming, whose fight to bring her daughter Julie Hogg’s killer to justice earned her an MBE . . . and a change in the law.
