University Ward Football Tournament – A Great Success!

I am pleased to say that at the first ever University Ward sponsored football tournament, we had over 250 youngsters taking part.  

Despite the heavy torrential rain, the participants were very enthusiastic and dedicated to their sport and I was very impressed with the level and standard of professional skills displayed by some of the competitors.  I think some of the players could quite easily make it into the Boro squad! 

I would like to thank everyone who took part, particularly the volunteers and helpers who worked tirelessly to make this tournament such a memorable event. And off course, the trophies were fantastic and I was so proud and honoured to hand them out.
