Message From Cleveland Police Acting Inspector Mark Hall:
“It is with great pleasure that I have been asked to write a piece in the University ward's local newsletter.
“Over the last 12 months there have been numerous policing and partnership activity in the area which has contributed to a 15% reduction in overall crime for the whole of Middlesbrough. This equates to 3453 less victims.
“I would like to thank all local residents for their help and support in making these fantastic reductions in crime as without their contribution I’ve no doubt these figures would be a lot higher.
“I would like to remind all residents that if there are any issues affecting the area or think that the police should be aware of something no matter how small, to contact the local policing team on 01642 302900.
